Situated near Prince Royal College, Happy Time is a wonderful little Thai restaurant. Unlike the typical, simple, Thai-style buffet restaurants this one is particularly clean and modern. It’s a very nice and comfortable place to sit.

They have a few pre-made buffet dishes which change every day. Typical dishes are khao soy, green curry and other vegetable soups and curries. The dishes are not made too oily or rich and taste good. As well as these, you can also order a salad which is very fresh and comes with a tasty sesame dressing. (Salad is not on display so need to ask.)

They have more healthy options which are packed available for take away, or eat in if you prefer. These include boxes of sushi, spring rolls and sandwiches as well as steamed buns (savoury or sweet.) They also have desserts available such as cakes and even cold pressed juices.

All of this food is vegan except one of the desserts, which is clearly identified.

We love the fact that this is a simple Thai place but is smartly designed and with healthy options, something that is rare for a Thai style place. Yet they still have the low Thai prices.

​The final thing to mention is the owner, who is very friendly and chatty and very happy to talk to you about what food they have.
