This Thai style jey restaurant is surprisingly good given it’s location. Most of the better ones tend to be in the city where there is a steady flow of customers but this one really is ‘off the beaten track.’ It is located very close to the Nong Hoi intersection on a small Soi off from the Lamphun Road (106) towards Saraphee. You will find it close to the YMCA on the right hand side of the road. There is no sign for it from the main road. Please see the map page for any further clarification.
Vegetarians who live or work in this area are lucky to have access to a Thai style one of this standard. Why is it good? The food is just buffet style but there is a pretty vast amount of options to choose from, including curries, single dishes, snacks and a pudding. The dishes taste good, are of a good quality and not too oily. The restaurant itself is basic but quite inviting and makes for a rather nice, clean and pleasant place to sit.
For those who want a healthier option there is also somtam made to order and free salad for the taking. They also make fruit shakes. In the take away section they also have things like pre-made vegan hotdogs in buns and even small pizzas with vegan cheese on them!
There is a range of dried foods on offer and even additional products including herbal shampoos and the like. There is a small range of drinks to choose from and of course free water as always.
This restaurant is always busy, a good sign. Only Thai people come here. The portions are good and so are the prices. The opening hours also please us, despite the typically fairly early finish, they are open every day including holidays. You can also go after 4PM, the food will be all bagged up and sold cheaper. We have even seen them open as late as 6.00 PM for take-away food.
If you eat-in here, please remember to take your plate and cutlery to the washing area.
Although all of the food is vegan, they also have a coffee bar and here they sell cow’s milk for drinks so unfortunately not a 100% vegan restaurant.
