This small, cheap guest house caters to foreign tourists and has rooms as well as a vegetarian restaurant. They were well known for offering a fully vegan buffet every night but for some reason they seemed to have stopped doing that now. Not sure why as this was what brought the crowds but they were never particularly good at dealing with a high volume of customers anyway. The service definitely needs improvement but it is a small family business (others like this seem to do fine though.)

In the menu you will find typical Thai dishes such as Panang curry, fried mixed vegetables and such like. They do also offer some western pancakes and some Thai desserts such as mango and sticky rice. The menu items are nothing to get excited about and the dishes that I have been served are of average quality.

The one special thing Peppermaint does have is pizza slices available either with or without cheese for just 30 or 35 BAHT per slice. These are out the front so you could just grab a slice to buy if you happen to be walking by. The other plus point is the late and long opening hours.

Competition is tough in a central location like this, so we’d expect them to make more of an effort. It’s a fine place to go if one of the other veggie places around have already closed up.
