Freshtime is a fairly new vegetarian restaurant with vegan options that has opened up in the old city not too far from Wat Pra Singh. It offers Thai food but is a western style restaurant because food is made fresh to order and not pre-cooked.
The store is a narrow place with fairly limited seating. It has a very appealing front with all the huge stacks of fresh fruit, and the fruit smoothies are fantastic. It’s just a shame that they serve them in a plastic cup with a plastic lid and a plastic straw. It is so sad to see all the empty plastic cups all stacked up. Please bring your own vessel for a smoothie if you have one. I certainly will next time, I have no idea why they don’t use a glass and a bamboo/metal straw.
The menu is fairly small compared to the other restaurants around but food is fresh (just like the name!) and tasty. We believe that most dishes can be made vegan but they are not identified as such in the menu. You’ll need to ask. Eggs are used in a few dishes which you can swap for tofu.
Freshtime is a pleasant little place for a fresh and timely smoothie and spot of lunch.
