Having heard among the raw foodist media that this restaurant is supposed to be one of the best raw restaurants around, I made a special effort to visit here when I first started coming to Bangkok. Since then I usually try to visit this restaurant whenever I am in the city even though I am not a raw foodist.
Rasayana has lives up to my expectations every time. The food is made so well you will find yourself wondering how they make so many dishes taste so good without cooking anything at all. It’s almost like magic what they can do. The choices are just amazing, try the spaghetti with ‘meat’ balls or the cheese pizza. Don’t think of them as being what they apparently imitate, they are just something else completely different that are in a whole new league of their own.
You can also find cold soups, salads, sushi, sandwiches and lots more things. They have juices and amazing desserts too. Try a few things, the dishes are light but somehow leave you feeling full all day.
The dishes are expensive but this is something you will find with all raw food. The main reason for this is because it’s such an exclusive cuisine that must take some in depth training to get these dishes just right. These dishes are not your average cuisine. Expect to pay about 500 baht for a drink, meal and maybe a side dish.
if you are a fruitarian, this restaurant will obviously be right up your street. If you aren’t, go with an open mind and expect the unexpected. The restaurant is a little tricky to find, off from Sukhumvit Road Soi 39. You might find it easier to tell the taxi driver to take you or call the restaurant to speak to the driver if he does not know it.
Rasayana means to rejuvenate. They are also a retreat so you can stay here and do one of their programs if you wish to truly rejuvenate yourself. They also have a branch in Pattaya.
For raw food or just very healthy food lovers, this will certainly be your go-to.
